The mandate of the Ontario Folk Dance Association is to promote folk arts, and particularly folk dancing of many cultures. It does this by organizing social dance events throughout the year, as well as organizing or co-hosting occasional workshops. For many years OFDA produced a print magazine, and more recently the electronic format, Folk Dancer Online, which is archived on this website. OFDA also hosts this website, which includes, local class listings and other more wide-ranging folk dance information and related resources.
One of the most important benefits of your membership in the OFDA is that it helps to promote and support folk dancing as a recreational activity
.
