The Shevchenko Musical Ensemble will bring back to the stage A Feast of Thunder, a work commissioned by the Ensemble in 1973 and created by composer Morris Surdin and poet-playwright George Ryga. While rooted in archetypal Canadian themes, it is at the same time universal. Tom Allen, popular CBC radio personality, will join the Ensemble as Narrator for A Feast of Thunder along with the Shevchenko Choir, Toronto Mandolin Orchestra and vocal soloists.
