For the second year, OFDA member Rita Winkler, along with her fellow dancers from DANI Toronto, participated in the Rikudiyah festival of Israeli dance held at the Schwartz Reizman JCC on Sunday, March 31. Rikudiyah was established by Teme Kernerman 52 years ago. Children from all over Toronto participate with their classmates in a set repertoire of Israeli dances and guest dancers also are included. DANI was invited last year and their performance was so successful that they were invited back this year. Rita and her friends worked for several months preparing their dance under the direction of their instructor, DANI staff member Heally Landau. They had a wonderful time and were very proud to perform!
